For the past 30 years, I’ve been a passionate marriage and family therapist. There is no place I’d rather be professionally than inside the walls of my safe and roomy private practice sitting down with a couple motivated to do whatever it takes to save their marriage. While I am a pro-marriage therapist, I also see couples who come in questioning whether their marriage is worth saving, concerned that perhaps it’s become too destructive for them and their children. I am honored to sit down, roll up my sleeves and get to work with you no matter where you are today or what direction you choose. You have my greatest respect just for coming through my office doors.

The beauty of having a private practice is flexibility in scheduling. I have the privilege of seeing clients for two-hour sessions and sometimes longer depending on their needs and requests. The majority of our time is spent together in joint marital sessions. However, I would like to occasionally see you individually to ensure that you are feeling free to speak up without hesitation in our marriage sessions and to inquire about what I could do to better support and assist you.

"Trust me, I know what it’s like to have blind spots in marriage."

I work really hard on my own marriage. It took us a long time to find each other so perhaps for that reason I take nothing for granted (usually). Trust me, I know what it’s like to have blind spots in marriage. A relationship is like looking in a mirror and not always liking what you see. Marriage can be our greatest and humblest teacher in this self-improvement course called "life". A happy and fulfilled marriage is my greatest success!

My Doctorate Degree is in Clinical Psychology. (Which followed a bachelor and a couple of masters). My additional post-doctorate marital training as been and continues to be with renowned marital experts Dr. John Gottman and Dr. Sue Johnson, in addition to the father of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dr. David Burns. His powerful work teaches us how our thought distortions bring pain to ourselves and our relationships.

This day and age is a blessed time to be married because we know more than ever before about what makes relationships work through years of research studying the minute details of marriage masters and marriage disasters.

I will be as transparent with you as possible about who I am as your marriage therapist. While I am LDS many of my clients are not. I will bring my skill set to the table and ask that you bring your beliefs, morals and individual insight to our session so that we combine them in a way that makes your marriage thrive.
